North Reef Engineering is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified company, established in 1970 as a mechanical engineering workshop specialising in the manufacturing, fabrication, and precision machining of a wide range of mechanical components.

Operating from our facilities in Isando, Kempton Park, we have maintained steady, thriving operations for over 50 years with a dedicated team of skilled machinists, artisans, design engineers, and quality-assurance specialists.

We specialize in machining services, fitting, assembly, and fabrication services.

Machining

Utilizing CNC machines, lathes, and mills to produce precision components.

Our machining department features state-of-the-art CNC equipment including lathes, milling machines, and multi-axis machining centers. We handle everything from prototype development to large production runs with tolerances as tight as ±0.01mm. Our capabilities include turning, milling, boring, grinding, and specialty operations for complex geometries.

Assembly

Bringing together parts and subassemblies to create final products.

Our skilled technicians perform mechanical assembly, fitting, and integration of complex assemblies. We offer sub-assembly services, final product assembly, and quality inspection at every stage. Our assembly department works hand-in-hand with our machining and fabrication teams to ensure seamless integration of all components.

Inspection

Ensuring all components meet specifications and quality standards.

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. Our inspection department uses precision measuring equipment including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), gauges, and optical measurement systems to ensure every part meets your exact specifications. We provide full inspection reports and certifications as required.
